I've had the front and back seats out of my 1st generation double cab a few times now for various reasons. The aft end of the front seat track mounts have plastic covers, as do the forward ends of the rear bench seat mounts.

It's odd to me the front seat forward track mount doesn't have a cap.
I looked on the parts diagrams and there isn't enough detail to see if the truck ever had them.

Does anyone with a 1st gen Tacoma have end covers on the forward end of the front seat tracks?

    Thanks

I’ve had a 97, 00, 02 as well as an 03 (single & extra cabs) and never saw any trim for the front. I didn’t buy any of these new so maybe someone else can chime in with additional info.

It didn't, check for tiny slots on the metal on the front, that's where the caps snap into. Mine did not have caps when I took all of my seats out to scrub the carpet for 5 hours straight because the previous owner seemed to be an avid coffee drinker because it was EVERYWHERE.

That is a reasonable assumption, and I wish that were true, but NO ONE reports ever seeing the actual caps, and they don't appear on any parts list I have seen. Please, someone prove me wrong!

It's because there are no front caps, there have never been front caps.
