I found my last set on ebay, someone got plates for a vehicle and then never actually put them on so they were mint. The taco I need truck plates for so I will probably search some local shops first

That's more fun than getting them straight from the state.
Our black and white plates can be custom 6 character, at least I can do that.

Classic car plates here are only eligible for cars listed by the Classic Car Club of America. They only list cars from like 1920-1950..
Otherwise you have to go with Historic car plates for 25+ year old, which offer no emissions/registration advantages

Just a Back Bear Picture. I like Last Dollar and Poughkeepsie Gulch better. The GX did fine. I didn't need a spotter.

aren't they rebadged foa or w/e?

like foa was the brand you can't give away because they're made so poorly even a rebuild won't save them?

Think I need to finally pull the trigger on a tent before the temps drop and we start going out again

Mocked up a rack, any critiques or reasons why this would be a poor design?

I know most do angled sides, but with it only 9" tall I'm not too worried about it sticking out past the cab. Vertical risers should prevent lateral bedside loading as well. Thinking 1.25x1.25x0.120 tube and some 1.5x2x0.125 angle

Yeah considering doing 45d cuts on the cross bars and riser corner there so they meet up flush, all square cuts is so much easier though

Weight is not a big concern for me lol, besides being able to support two of me in case I'm bringing a guest

That is smart, I’ve had a few people warn me about that with the Avid bars I’m using right now.

Looks good IMO! Maybe cook up a few attachment/tie down points?

huh, been trying to identify some mushrooms growing in our front yard and they appear to be of the amanita ocreata variety....aka the Western North American Angel of Death mushroom. Badass

not my pic but they look just like this

    Amanita_ocreata_79782.jpg

should probably get rid of them though before one of the kids or Dex tries to eat one, apparently they are cytotoxic and ingestion means a painful death

I used the Avid bed bars with my RTT for years. No issues, the basket addition between the bars probably helped reinforce it
