vibration when going over 40 mph

2008 Prerunner 2wd 180,000 miles 2in lift on 33in tires.
My truck has just recently starting having this shaking when on the highway. The steering starts to vibrate pretty bad around 40 and the rest of the truck vibrates bad around 60. If I go a little faster, it seems to be not as bad.
I have already replaced the hubs, passenger side control arms (Upper and Lower) and had it aligned and balanced the wheels. I thought it would have been the hubs, and then a well respected shop told me it was only the passenger side ball joints. A new shop says that the other side does not look bad enough to change.
The new shop also said it could be the struts in the front that are worn out.
Almost a grand into the front end and it is just as bad. Maybe something with the tires, either a goose egg or they have worn badly, but they are only 8 months old and not many miles on them.
If anyone could throw out any ideas on what could possibly be happening, I would appreciate it.

Yes. Shop said that they look fine.

 

Looks like you've been to several shops..are the tires out of round?I would lift the truck and spin each tire by hand to see if you notice any up and down movement of the wheel or tire.

 

If you know someone with a Tacoma, I'd swap tires and wheel with them for a drive and see if goes away. That would rule them out.

 

Would rotating the tire be good enough?

 

What kind of lug nuts does your wheels have now?

 

Possibly. I've had that happen before. Where after a rotation it helped. But you might rotate them all and not find a change. That wouldn't rule out tires, as more than one tire/wheel could be an issue.

Totally depends on rims, but mine require a deep shank, not just tapered.




Last time I pulled a wheel, I realized someone put one of your style on the last time i was at the dealership. They musta lost one of mine.

 

I've had them on since March. Is it possible that they just now start having issues? Before these I've had a cheap Amazon nuts on with the same style with no issues.

 

you have hub centric rings?

 

I doubt its the lugs if you've been running the same ones all this time.

 

Is that just like o-rings that go around the hubs? do they make them for two-wheel drive hubs

 

I can’t answer that one…Is the center bore of the wheels larger than the hub?

 

U joints can do this too, I recently blew my rear out and it shook the whole truck during my 6 hour drive home, starts around 50kph

If you've never done them and the rear is lifted, its probably time anyway.

 

Idk if you can see it here but it seems to be pretty close to the size of the hub center. There is a little gap that I can see on the inside.

 

When you're were out did you notice that when you were accelerating it seemed to be a little worse? I noticed today when I let off the pedal on the interstate the vibration seemed to be not as bad. Could the u joints cause the steering wheel to shake?

Edit: first video I watched said the same thing I was thinking about having more vibes when accelerating.

 

Yea load affects it most, coasting it wont do it.
