Calamity tacos build thread that was for a tacoma but now is for a ford! crazy times we are in!

looking into the camper build on the topper and maaan is the 8020 extrusions expensive!
about 1200 bucks just for the aluminum frame setup and mounting hardware. this doesnt include the roof or floor or all the work to get it to become one with the topper. i knew it was going to be cheap but damn haha.


the other issues is the max metal 5x10 aluminum sheets i need for the floor and roof. i went to the website and they dont have it anymore or they are out of stock? unsure atm this isnt a project ill rush to get done since im still working on so many other projects with the house atm but something i will take my time with and let it go slowly.

 

you can probably buy one second hand for less than that. seems all kinds of people sell theirs for $500-1000 in bst

 

i have seen a few in the range but none in the size id truly want. all the ones ive found are just the side of the bed which isnt bad and still enough room! but id have to find a hardshell if i wanted to make it where i can gain access through the cap otherwise it will just be a tent on a cap.

 

got our selves this little pressure washer that was recomended to us! it works pretty dang good! sadly it was taken away from me after i started making some doodles in the driveway and got a glare for it lmao

this is where the red civic shell use to sit and maaan was it dirty!

cleaning all the saw dust and dirt and such thats sat on the bikes for a little over a month now?

I have the same one. Had it burn up in a year but they did replace it.

 

I have a similar one, I think ours might be the size one larger, but we swapped out the hose and gun for higher quality stuff since my wife really takes time to detail her car.

I just got a random kink resistant hose. It does pretty well, but you'll want to totally unravel it before you pressurize it or it's kind of hard to straighten out.
