    Good morning :hattip:

Very wild weather last night and early this morning , there also was alot of lightning strikes and very loud thunder. Both Gunny and Rascal were looking for comfort as they didn't like the Thunder and lightning

Our dog Huck also is no fan of the thunder. We had him for 3 years in CA before we moved to KY,, but in northern CA, you almost never get thunder storms, so he was not used to them until we moved here. He runs under the bed and stays there for long periods when it thunders. Or any of our neighbors decide to have shooting practice  We get CBD "Dog calming" treats for him from Walmart, not sure how much they may help him.

    Happy Saturday to all!

1 1/2 Xanax did the trick last night. Maybe it was the bourbon chaser…

Edit: actually she is ‘sun downing’ just like the elderly. The vet is concerned that her tumors have spread to her brain. He’s already prepped us for the time maybe near.

    Good morning, everyone.

Rugby is the opposite- when there's thunder he will just go up into the crows nest of his cat tree, look out at the skies with his ears flat, eyes go black and growls like he's calling out Thor for a fist fight.

So I had exchanged the tix for the Viking weekend at the RenFest for tomorrow because of the forecast for today ( 100% chance of thunder storms/ high winds, hail, yatta yatta yatta) not a drop of rain in the sky and it's not as hot/humid as predicted. :annoyed:

I have a few deliveries on the way, every time I leave a note in the purchase instructions to put the boxes between the storm door and main door, every time it NEVER happens and I will come home to soaked boxes or things that have gotten blown off of the porch.

Last night I did a quick inventory of materials on hand and decided that I could hack out a 2 x 2 x2 plywood 'delivery' box. The ones commercially available too expensive ( in my cheapskate opinion) so after about 5 hrs of work, this is what I ended up with.

    20250906_124850[1].jpg

It's not exactly glamorous but it will serve a function. ( if the delivery drivers can read English)

Opening day of Archery season in Montana. I have to work through tomorrow. sigghh. Finally cooled off to the 70s for highs down from the 90s. Rain in the forecast for the next 6 days. We'll see.

@vssman sending some positive thoughts your way!

Oh Man! Behavior Team…we have a level 3 room clear in room 507. Been there a few times this past week. Building and sustaining new routines is rough. Thanks for what you do!

It took Gunny about 5 hours to get back to his normal behavior and now is back to chasing Rascal through out the house . He normally will calm down if let him eat catnip
