Exploring & camping in my dream build Catskills, NY

The only framework for this trip was beautiful hikes everyday in the Catskills, NY & surrounding areas and figuring out every night where I could camp close by. What unfolded was a trip straight out of a dream I met so many amazing people from the very start, and at no point was I worried about having a safe place to stay. Locals exchanged information with me should I need anything, and some even showed me some hidden gems. It's incredible how many amazing hikes are in this area. Much love and reverence to the land and those found in it

 

Anyone else have shots from the Catskills?!

 

I do some deer hunting down there but not a lot of exploring anymore. Are you based in the Northeast?

 

yes! Home base is northern NJ

 

There is some cool state forest trails just north of the catskills. Here a couple, mainly from bear hunting last year

One of the best areas with low light pollution was a hunting trip in North Maine Woods years ago. I sat around the campfire looking up until my neck hurt.

 

Use to do a lot of rock climbing there but its been years…
