Well, the storms blew through all without incident and much less strength than predicted.

I love some avocado with a steak. I also do a poblano pepper with a drizzle of olive oil and some garlic salt blister it on the grill. A bite of steak a chunk of avocado and a slice of pepper. I will occasionally do a jalapeño the same way but they are not all created equal sometimes they are so hot they are a little more than I want.

I told my wife that we need to up our food / dinner / coffee program. Week after next we’re hoping to camp at the Two Hearted River campground on Lake Superior :fingerscrossed: Full week, colors should be beautiful, great views, and I can get some fishing in, kinda bear country. We’re starting to prep / pack, Mr Heater- check.

Avocados and steak are a good pair. Not much of a pepper eater - occasionally a red bell in a couple of recipes.
got any cast iron? I like cooking over the fire now and then. Plus I don’t have anywhere to store a bbq when I’m out so if I want steak I gotta do it on the fire.
Love cookin burgers and steaks on the fire. Maybe if I’ve got one fish I’ll do surf and turf with a small steak. Pan fried potatoes are just easy and makes it a “one pan meal” which is what I aim for most nights.

Camp neighbors are arguing over their Yahtzee game. Apparently someone is cheating and getting more Yahtzees than usual.

Set up 2 chairs and put MermAndy in one and sit in the other. Then start yelling Uno!

If you’re a good poker player you have nothing to worry about other than seeing MermAndy without clamshells on!

Actually been a great start to the year. Whole different assignment than the last few years. Some of my hardest students are making real progress. Pushing out into the general education environment a lot more. Really interesting caseload of new kids.

Good luck with getting your building up and running.
