Well, got the first boo-boo...I 'think' it happened this past weekend out hunting. I may have ran over a good size branch and it may have popped up and clipped the truck. Or someone door dinked the fuck out of it.

Looks like it should buff out...is that a paint gouge in the middle of the biggest mark?

    this...
start with maybe a cleaner wax & see what happens, or go all in with some rubbing compound.
That looks like a very very minor scuff....

I had just washed the truck. I did apply some compound and it buffed slightly. The bottom most scuff also has a dent. Not the end of the world, but it does suck! :annoyed:

I was able to remove 95% of my recent boo-boo with bug and tar remover.

I love the Celestial Silver as well, for similar reasons. I think it's by far the best color on the Tacoma this gen.

I rubbed more compound this morning and it helped. Looks like I do have a paint scrape on the bigger scratch. I can't get a good pic with the sun glaring off the silver. Camera doesn't know what to focus on. I'll try later this evening. Guess I need a little touch-up paint.

    Edit - added pic

That's tire shine and another reason that shit sucks lol

Thought it was a part of town I drove through after they paved the roads so I just stopped driving that way haha!

As a back patio engineer, I agree that’s gotta be what it was. They had my tires dripping wet with tire shine on delivery and after I washed it, hasn’t happened again.

I don't like the stuff and there's some evidence the ones using petroleum distillates can accelerate dry rot.

Tire gel is an alternative but I still don't see why tires need to be shiny, or clean at all for that matter lol
