What started as a quest for a black console tray (the little rectangular bucket that sits under the HVAC controls) led me to a treasure trove of old man tan interior components.... Enough to change out factory grey plastic (dash bottom half, seat base sides, A-pillars, door cards, etc) with tan plastic for a black and tan interior. I now only question if it's worth the (estimated) $500 to do it.

Does anyone know if the C-pillar trim from an AC and a double cab are the same?

    Do it!
I wish I'd bought my truck a year earlier and had the tan interior

The tan trim components would be sharp. Or, take a look at tan leather seat covers from Clazzio.

I've got black leather skins on the seats and black vinyl in the rear. I've wanted to blackout the interior for a while but SEM isn't holding up to getting kicked and spraypaint interior is kid stuff. Some of the 12-15 interior parts came in black and I have those (minus that damn console tray). It looks like I can get tan for all the remaining grey and redo the headliner in black.

I know. That's yours. And no doubt Porsches triptronic is much better than the crap I've been dealing with, GM, Dodge, Toyota.

I'm still going to stick with 3 pedals as long as I'm able.

The four cylinder engine in my Tacoma moves it pretty well when I manually wind out the gears. Fun !IMG_1901.jpg

    Re-post from main forum...

New member here in Western MA (Springfield area) and excited to tap into all the knowledge and expertise you all have!

I didn't take any pics yet, but I just got my first Taco this weekend!!!

    3rd Gen 2017
    4 door
    TRD Off Road
    3.5L
    6 Speed Manual
    Premium Package options
    65k miles

    LOADED with everything I wanted.
The only thing not there is the inside mirror was a replacement and does not have Homelink buttons (I'll survive with old fashioned clicker for the garage...).

Drives great! Has power moon roof, power slider in the back, OEM Tacoma hard deck cover, heated seats, all the good stuff.

Throw in A-TRAC and locking rear differential? I think I'm in love...

Not new to DIY repairs. Done a few over the years, but expect to definitely be looking to you all with all the Taco tips and tricks! I'll add pics soon.
