3rz slow start when hot?

Howzit going you guys I was wondering if any of you have experienced a slow and hesitant start after the truck is hot? I’ll try to link a video to show you what I mean please let me know what you think. 1996 2.7l

Might not be your issue but serviced a 5vz with same symptoms. Cold start, no issue. Once the engine is hot after a short drive, engine requires prolong crank before turning over. Ended up being 2 leaking injectors

 

Any codes/CEL? When's the last time the cap/rotor and spark plugs were replaced, with timing checked? How old is your fuel pump?

 

One issue with 30 year old Tacomas are if she has original injectors... this is what it sounds like. I do not advocate just throwing parts at it but there are many posts on this forum where people have diagnosed the hell out of the motor and in frustration they put in new injectors and the problem is solved. Motorwest seems to be the go to people for this.

 

No check engine light. I just replaced the spark plugs in hopes that it would fix the problem but had no luck. I’ll scan for any codes today but I’m now thinking it’s something feul related. I just bought the truck this year so I’m not sure how old the feul pump or injectors are.

 

Do you have a scan tool that can read live data?

 

Mine has done this exact thing for 10 years, I always figured injectors but I have been living with it.
