We literally got the first five gens of that truck and also, it would still be a 5th gen whether we got it or not.

Speaking of the 3.5 Ford eco I test drove, was impressed and def would have gotten. I know I’ll be impressed with Toyotas version too when I try one out. More wanting a diesel though honestly lol. Space for the fam and easier on me for tow trips.

We got the prior gens but as the usa market we only got 3 gens that had 4wd plus with Toyotas naming scheme in that time frame most would say the first two pickups that started in the 60s were different( even thou its still in the family) so 99% of the time when talking to old heads about Toyota pickups and you are talking the 4wd ones we are talking 1st-3rd gens which is the only ones called pickup and that were 4wd.

I've been impressed with the Ford 6.7s at work. We beat the ever loving fuck out of them and they just keep coming back for more

Again, wrong. We got the 1st 5 gens of the pickup/Hilux. Toyota has them labeled as the same family, because they are. The generation doesn't change just because of an optional feature. That would mean that your 13th gen Ford is only a 2nd gen with Bluetooth, or an 11th Gen with 4x4, or a 3rd gen with auto locks, or..... See how dumb that is?

The kinks are worked out. The 3rd gen Tundra is a great drive.

Rode in my friends and it will just go. I know if drive one I’ll probably love it and buy when I don’t need. I’ve seen 3 people trade perfectly good trucks in for the ones lol. A new Dodge, Ford Eco too, and Tundra lol. It’s always personal preference. Ford interior is still my fav. Always be between a yota and Ford for gas. Though something nice about an NA motor that is less complicated too. Only way I’d probably end up in a dodge is for a Cummins diesel lol

Titans still have na V8s. Granted they're not in production anymore but there's a ton of them out there

Everyone likes to jerk off about the Cummins and in my experience it's a good motor but like... It's not any better than a power stroke or a Duramax. Each of them have their strengths and their faults. But that's just my opinion.. lol

Between the three, I think the power stroke has the best truck to sit in.

No my gen was not called a Hilux.. on the title it was Toyota pickup... Never said it wasnt in the same family. The reason for saying 1st-3rd gen was because of the 4wd... Yes it's silly and dumb but that's just how it was... Not until maybe 4ish years ago did people start calling them by the proper gens... So still toooo this day if someone is talking about 1st-3rd gen pickups they are normally meaning the 4wd side of the family... You can say wrong all you want but I owned one for 6 years and know what my title said on it and how it was advertised, people calling it at the time blah blah all that fun stuff.

For the 3rd is still wait tbh.. no reason to jump into something that may or may not have issues. Hopefully they have worked it out now all they got a do is work on the styling of the truck haha.

Ya I've ridden in my buddy's back before his motor went boom. It was a nice driving truck but when I drove it idk it was just meh? Idk I just don't seem to like the newer tundras for some reason? But the first gen tundra even thou its slower and can't do as much as modern full size trucks I've always like that truck.

Idk if I could ever get a Dodge lol or well ram... The cummins is good but you still got well the rest of it being Chrysler so idk if I could go that route haha.

No way I’d get in a newer powerchoke lol. Would do a Cummins or Duramax. Probably the Chevy cause it would last longer with the Allison transmission and overall build quality. I’d still love a Cummins though.

Yes, for the American market Toyota called them the pickup. However, they never changed the generational nomenclature since we got the first five generations here. Yes, four-wheel drive wasn't offered until the 3rd gen. However, changing the generation based on an add-on option is just silly and it's only something a few old farts did.

My work truck is a 2020 F550 6.7 with the 6-speed and it's a beast. And it's a government truck so it gets the hell beat out of it and the damn thing runs like it's brand new.

20/32 done. Between picking it up and getting the materials picked up i got a late start. And getting into any rhythm.

You could come set some posts for me too while you're at it

I wanna rip out the chainlink on path side and the rickety wood fence in the back and put in a privacy fence, but I'm lazy and it costs too much.
