60+ year old thread.

Well it has finally cooled off enough for me to do some physical labor so I cut the rest of the birch tree down today.

1st log down, hollow, full of carpenter ants.



Second log down and the rot didn't go as far up.

Main trunk down and it was rotted and hollow way above my head from the ants. Good thing we took it down. It was getting a lot of dead branches the last couple of years.

Stump will be easy to grind since it's so hollow.

A free trailer load of wood. I'll post it on Craigslist.

I'm whupped!

 

I’m whupped just looking at the pictures. I need to kick back and have a cold one. You took that tree down just in time. It was rotten. A good storm this winter would have blown it down.

 

I don't like taking down trees but that one was overdue. Good job.

 

Good morning. Front paver walkway was prepped and then sealed yesterday. When we had the home washed it also included power washing the pavers. We cleaned out the space between the pavers, where needed, then sealed the pavers. Today we resand the pavers.

Going to be a fun day.

At 0630hrs I'm headed to a Doctor's appointment regarding my Parkinson's disease Military disability rating/ claim . This visit is with a Behavioral health visit . This will allow the Doctor's to see if the Parkinson's disease is affecting my brain, especially Dimentia

 

That tree wouldn't have lasted much longer with all that tree rot. One good wind storm and it would've come down on a house or a car

 

got my omega fix in last nite (and tonite as well) 2 full meals for $17.00 aint bad at all...

Did a few hours of string trimming yesterday and didn't even break a sweat, need to mow again, hopefully for the last time this year, perfect weather for getting outside work done.

 

You get a tree sucking water out of a sewer line and you will think twice about tree hugging. Just saying.

 

yeah, it was definitely time for that one to come down.

 

Somebody always has to state the obvious as though it's inspired wisdom...

 

It would cost thousands if it was done by arborists.
