Huh, I thought you’d be one of those wiry, skinny guys that fit behind boilers, massive piping and the such

Re: early oil/pnumatic fluid changes- reminded me of when the gt350 first came out. Threads on threads of when to do it, are there assembly lubes, what about peices of left over flashing…. It was a new motor for Ford (V-8 with a Flat Plane Crank) so anxieties were through the roof

Glad to hear the machine seems to like it

Hope it is feeling better. My money is still on a torn meniscus. Likely a the meniscus has a piece that is periodically irritating the joint, causing fluid build up and discomfort. Hoping for a simple fix. How do you feel about knee surgery?

    Sadly no...:pout:

At the old job I had a fellow (electronic wizard) who is 6'2" and weighs 140, he was the poor sap who got stuffed in any cramped miserable space.

On the other hand, one day I came on him swinging in mid air on a pipe wrench trying to loosen something - I just reached up and pulled, sometimes it comes in handy.

I’ve had torn meniscus in both knees. One was a flap that I would only wish upon my worst enemy..

I know we’re all different but I’ve never had fluid build up because of it.

@six5crèéd , if they offer to scope it, you might want to consider it. Only 2-3 small incisions per knee, it will let them see what’s going on. And you don’t need general anesthesia.

Recovery is way better than the weekend you had.

Well, pleasantly surprised. In and out in under 40 minutes with a new Napa Legend battery free of charge! Not sure who makes those batteries, but it was free and has a 3 year warranty. Can't complain.

EDIT: Looks like East Penn or Clarios. Being in PA it's probably EP.

Understood. It is not an option that most people are excited about. I have had the ACL replaced on my left knee 25 years ago and the right knee meniscus trimmed and sutured about 8 years ago. Full ACL was not fun but there have been a lot of improvements medically in the last 25 years. The meniscus repair was pretty smooth. Outpatient surgery and was walking pretty much normally the same day. Of course it helps if the doctor you have is incredible.

    I concur.

He is right, likely less painful than a weekend in bed and not likely to fix itself, unfortunately.

Replacing/patching a trailer deck. Sometimes you just have to sacrifice a saw blade to get the job done.

These carbide blades are the real deal. Gonna grab a other 3 pack when I grab lumber in the morning.

Customer owns a restaurant and goes around to various festivals and smokes ribs in a big smoker.

He hauls the smoker on this trailer to and from the venues.

He doesn't extinguish the embers. He loads the smoker on the trailer and heads home.

Got half way home and the bottom of the smoker fell thru, dropping the embers on the wood deck of the trailer.

People that waved him down to stop said the fire was great smelling. Pork fat and untreated pine burning must have been enjoyable.

I rebuilt the smoker 2 months ago, but just now am getting to repairing the trailer deck.

lately, most of my shops hydraulic fluid has been closer to amber colored than clear. it seems most batches tend to run different opacities. almost every time we get a new delivery, it's got a different tint to it. the only exception is our specialty shell-brand anti-electrically-conductive fluid. that's always been clear, but smells a little funny.

the conti's and general a07's are both highly reputable tires.

i would also highly recommend the bfg comp2 a/s plus if you're interested in another option for an extreme performance, summer-focused all weather traction tire. i've been through 2 sets of comp 2 a/s' and am on one set of the comp2 a/s plus currently.

they have slightly higher grip characteristics-- i'll be stepping back down to the comp 2 a/s my next tire order to maintain a little more playful/predictable handling... the a/s plus'es grip, but tend to snap harder and less predictably at the limit. they also seem to flatspot a little faster sitting for a couple days. but we haven't had any major snow since getting the plus'es, so i can't really comment on their snow performance. the comp2 a/s's were about 7-8/10th's of a dedicated snow tire. far more grip than a standard 'all season', but not as great as a dedicated snow tire.

Well fellers, it was an excellent day, the truck is sitting outside  at the garage with the trailer attached. I got home at 10pm. There is cool stuff on the trailer. Not another car -- both ;) & :(.

Not even a teaser photo, it was dark.
