Not off the table til the shells gone tbh
Thought a lot about it, in theory it sounds great..
Mainly worried about the wind drag, center of gravity, overall weight, and will have to build some sort of internal support structure for it though. And it wouldn’t fit in the garage

Idea now though is sell the shell for about what the tent ran, and then all I’ll be in this switch up for will be steel for the rack. Probably will need some mig gas too

I mean I saw a snake get hit on the hwy last night on the way to hockey but no scorps.

My tent also seals like mad with that aluminum shell -- which is an added bonus I hadn't thought about. :p

I remember drooling over this for a minute when he sold it. Very cool build if you need some bathroom browsing

You're an engineer, with CAD experience, should be easy!

Not to mention @TACOTU3 can bend what you need for ya.

I’m an engineer, I can design it, I just need the blue guys to build it lol

I have ideas for an exocage that would be super simple and easy to build, just issues with weight, height and fitting in the garage seems like it’s not worth it
Depending on mounting for either, exo would probably end up like 2-4” taller as well

It's just square tube at different angles.

Not to discredit the OP, it's really smart as I personally wouldn't be able to figure out all those angles and turns.

But if you can do the design part, the rest is just glueing it up after it's cut and bent.

I'd end up killing a lot of tube for me to figure it out on the bender

Did you get Bendtech? It'll go hand in hand for what he can model up for you in CAD.

There's bending, then there's this shit that's borderline art and a bunch of math fuckery

Not sure how many hits per, but that's a fuck ton for creating that thing
