Hello fellow enthusiasts, trying to find one more q117 clip is beyond frustrating to me. I have 3 but not the 4th. Is there any other clips that will work with a 01 double cab? Thanks.

i'm also looking for some q clips, thinking i would get a deal by piecing together the old system but its looking like it might not work out. Dont want to pay 500 for a new yakima rack, might not have a choice.
I've read elsewhere on TW that the q16's which are much more common could work but no solid proof so take that as you will.

    Search "Q-Clips" at https://www.rerack.com/
and search "Yakima Q-Clips" at ebay.com

Also, at the Yakima Web site use https://fitlookup.yakima.com/ to confirm fit for your particular vehicle, although most new from Yakima Q-Clips are "obsolete" (no longer available directly from Yakima, they advise "checking with your dealer")

FWIW, Q-16 on my 2000 PreRunner ExtraCab:

IF the Yakima fitlookup indicates that Q-16 will fit your vehicle, I can provide a picture of a Q-16 clip.

Could you provide pics of the Q-16 on your extra cab? Were you able to space out over door and extra cab with 4 Q-16s? Or did you need 2 of another clip for the rear portion? Thank you!

Yes, I will take photos soon and post here. If I understand correctly: You want photos of my extracab focusing on the placement of two round-bars held in place by 4 Q-Towers with Q-16 clips. And, yes, all four Q-clips are Q-16 clips.

My photo in #3 (above) shows a close-up. You want to see a wider photo showing where the Q-Towers are placed on the roof of the cab.
Is that what you want to see?

Thanks so much! I was wondering if they were both above your doors or if you had them more spread out with one over door and one over extra cab windows.

I was hoping to be able to spread them out a bit further to mount a basket or grid to allow for better load distribution and more surface area for mounting items.

What do you generally mount up there? Thank you!

I keep them stored in my garage, keep them for if I need them. I needed them for the photo, and I don't recall what I may have used them for. I also have 2 Yakima Round Bars with Q-Towers and Q41 Clips that mount on Yakima Bolt Top Loaders on top of the Camper Shell. Those are the bars I generally use with a home-made "basket" for camping gear and occasional lumber. The Bolt Top Loaders *could* be mounted on the ExtraCab Rooftop. However, they require drilling through the roof and fastening with nuts and bolts on the ceiling, which is why they work more easily on the camper shell.
I have noted that Yakima.com has stopped showing Q-Towers and Q-Clips, and even the Bolt Top Loaders, though they still sell Round Bars. Still, some new and used Yakima parts can be found at ebay, craigslists, Re-Rack.com, RackAttack.com, etrailer.com

Many thanks. I really don't want to drill into the cab, so am going to keep on searching. I appreciate your response!
