I learned my lesson last time we did the fence when we moved in. The mini skid is 150% worth it even though it costs quite a bit.
Still sore, ha. But yes less for sure.

Being a non-professional im pretty happy with how my posts came out but my spacing is a bit long on them. Idk how they get them spaced right? Or is it just cause the typical fence is picket and rail that it doesnt matter?

I was aiming for 7ft (to reuse existing fence "panels" i made) but most of mine ended up ~86" meaning i cant use them. :frusty:

Help from some electricians please. Time to wire up the heater, my electrician cousin is away at the worst time possible and I need to get wired... "I shall NOT use" NON-HEAT RESISTANT CABLE WITH PVC ISOLATION 10/2 (poorly worded) from the control box to the heater. Where is the best source and insight into the specs of this product...? I require a 30AMP breaker, the main in the house is currently a 40AMP to the dedicated breaker outside that has a 50AMP breaker (this setup was installed by a pro when I wired up for a hot tub 20 years ago) should both be 30AMP??

Also, 2x8 premium redwood cedar window and door sills are in! Door hinges on their way to order up 1/2" tempered glass for all 3 openings. (obligatory TACO haul pic)

Daughter came over a few weeks ago and noticed the front window was broke. Had a company come out to fix it and they said it was a heat crack.

Never heard of a heat crack before. There’s a screen on the outside that’s fine so nothing hit it. Couldn’t see it from inside because the top is covered by the shade.

The Milwaukee framing nailer hits a lot harder than I was expecting out of an electric nailer. I had to rebuild a few interior non load bearing walls when we did a reno, as well as a few other projects since then, and it's always been great to use. I have a mix of Dewalt and Milwaukee tools, and usually buy whatever has the best reviews between the two brands. I have a Dewalt 18g nailer that in contrast to the M18 framing nailer takes a faction of a second to spool up for each nail. Not really an issue in practice for DIY, but worth mentioning.

Thanks guys. Looking forward to not dragging a compressor around anymore. 5 5ah batteries should keep up with anything i throw at it.

Cut into a perfectly solid supply line to install an expansion tank. I've got my gas Rheem heater set on PILOT, and that is the lowest setting next to OFF, but I still get a faucet reading of 122.5 degrees. Hoping this expansion tank helps drop the temp when set low, but if not hey, I think it is a good idea to have this tank in my system anyway since I now have a backflow valve at the city supply.

    You have fire sprinklers?

Is that City of Tampa or Hillsborough County or both?

i was using mine almost every day a couple times a day for a couple years. it's worked great.

there's some reports on youtube of them losing pressure after lots of use, but there's also plenty of video's on how to add a schrader valve to self-recharge the cylinder off an air compressor. mine hasn't lost any noticeable pressure in the years i've been using it, but it's all been small projects. i don't think i've ever worked through more than 4 sheets of nails on any particular job.

Well, my hopes were not met. This section had very little concrete and a bunch of large rocks. That explains the cracks, they were right at the edge of rocks with less than 1/8" of mortar on the sides. It was actually a repair that was on top of the bottom 1" of original foundation concrete.
Took out the 1" steel cable that was the original reinforcement as it was rusted beyond salvation, took out the remainder of the original foundation and dug down an additional 6".
Tomorrow, I'll knock out the piece under the studs and the corner. Then, I will form it out and pour a new foundation section with rebar.
