I'm sure they are heavy and I'd probably pull them off the Xcab myself. I do like how they look with an AT tire and I do like the darker finish.

    Edit

I also noticed that is a panel between the bed and the door on the Xcab portion of the cab. I wonder why Toyota did that? I haven't done a walk around on any 4G let alone the Xtracab.

I believe there's generally about a 30% weight savings with AL wheels and in my case TRD OR tire size is already more weight and some can be some basketball behavior. Weight can add up and in this case impact suspension performance so I'm just going to repeat past Toyota 4x4 ownership - use the heck out if it, fix or replace as needed.

Very true, it's fine to treat your stuff nice. I offroad my truck but I do wash it and I'm on top of maintenance.

I come from the tuner car world. I've had some pretty expensive wheels. Not as a flex just I like the design and I enjoy having real wheels. I had a set of Work Emotion T7Rs I'm pretty sure I scratched near the lug nuts when doing rotations at home.

Even then, I wasn't taping up the lug nut wells when I had someone else do it  My brand new TE37 SLs got rock chips on the way home from being mounted... they're wheels man.. it's gonna happen. Tweaking over your OEM wheels is crazy.

We're not talking about a set of LMGT1s here lol

Probably some tolerancing limitation with stamping size to accommodate the sharp convex roof corner.

Steel wheels call for higher lug nut torque according to the owner's manual. 154 ft-lbs here we go! 15 ugga-duggas!
