If I recall correctly there are high quality “4x4” decals for 1st gen mud flaps.

Don’t know which of these options are best:

Replacing my broken dash trim was one of the more satisfying things I've done...it just annoyed me everytime I drove the truck.

Not too much to mess up, don't over torque the valve cover bolts.

Finally got a chance - I think he's been holding onto it for a couple years for me now - to pick up an old broken CV from Brett @Squeaky Penguin, and proceeded to cut up the outer cup for the recovery kit.

    Thanks Brett!

I was kinda wondering if I would ever break an inner joint, and then I could make one good CV out of that, but I always break the outer.

And as you might have noticed a little further behind that one, I have a pretty good stockpile to work through at the rate I'm driving my truck...

I mean, I feel like the inner joint could always just be shoved into / left in the diff if the CV breaks, to drive out. The outer is harder since - assume you break something else - it's "attached" to the shaft.

...says the guy who hasn't broken one yet, and still hopes not to. lol

Thanks again, tacos are on me next time!

I carry 2 CVs and the outer stub, so I'm not worried about driving out. I was more thinking about making one good CV from 2 broken ones, but it hasn't worked out that way.

Just installed 2002 4Runner seats. So far they feel a lot more comfortable. I haven’t tried them on a long drive yet but hopefully this weekend will be the final test.

Ha I have made a couple this way. Or found roller bearings fucked in the tulip during a rebuild and stole a set from my trophy cv I have on my work bench.

Replaced the PO single tiny car "beep" horn with these

A more robust horn sound that I'm happy with.

Just making use of that flagpole mount in the trailer hitch. Doesn't feel very good today though.

I had pretty good luck using water weld to seal a tank before. It worked until I hit it on a rock again...

I thought these gas tanks were invincible… 4runner is tucked up a bit more I guess.
