Sheesh! You could have used a file and squared up the corners just a bit!

 

For such a job result, I think the creator didn’t think that far of the cosmetic.

You guys would have liked my old house. I was running my microwave off of a circuit that I later discovered had the romex spliced by twisting the wires together (no nut) and wrapping in electrical tape

 

But it worked, didn’t it? Don’t overthink things…

 

We bought covers for our light switches.

Wonky, raw-dogged with an oversized slotted bit to mangle the painted screws

 

… and torqued at individually unique values from inch pounds to foot pounds.

 

but that's the wrong one!

they clearly need the other version with a switch on the left, and the outlet on the right!

 

this is literally every time i try to go to ace hardware for the very last item on my project.

i can check the website. i can call ahead and talk to the cashier that just started yesterday.

but when i get there, they're guaranteed to have a spot for the item i'm looking for and will have every other variation, even the real oddball one's, but never have the exact but extremely common variation i need...
