Part of me feels like they're running on fumes w/o Sid and Malkin. Saturday might have shown pretty good evidence of that. When guys like Asham and Rupp are scoring all your goals, you can only go so far. I've said all along if they make it to the 2nd rnd this year. It was a successful season.

 

You got a point.. but game 2 was a blowout too but look at games 3 & 4

I think they'll bounce back but its never a bad thing when your 3rd and 4th line contribute. Its playoff hockey and anything can happen (look at the hawks and canucks haha)

Not here. I'm not intimidated by a team who beat out the Pens for the division by 1 pt, when the Pens were w/o their 3 best players for half the season, and are full of a bunch of 3rd/4th line players.

I doubt it. Philly is too big of a tv market to lose for the playoffs and with the deal the NHL just cut with NBC/Comcast no way. The execs will have a lot to say in the matter and Richards will NOT be suspended.

Loving the trash talk. Philly is going no where past the second round if they even make it there. Their goaltending is atrocious right now. Although if bruins play philly next round we will probably make boucher look like patrick roy.

Bieska actually touched the puck. The call on Torres's hit wasn't a Rule 48 it was Interference for hitting a guy without the puck. Torres only got 2 for Interfence and there was no supplementary discipline.

Bieska had played the puck before getting hit in a very similar fashion as the one on Seabrook, hence the no call.

With that being said the most brutal hits in the NHL these days seem to be behind the net...

The Torres hit is the exact reason our league is turning into a pussy league. Fucking GREAT hit and yet because he touched his head its deemed a bad one. Fucking joke. You get paid millions so keep your fucking head up or go work at Walmart IMO

 

I didn't say the hit was bad , I was responding to nipplehead saying Crosby got hit because he didn't have his head up .

 

To me the hits look exactly similar. The only difference is that Bieska had just played the puck, while Seabrook was going to play the puck but was hit right before the stick made contact.

I thought you were allowed to hit a guy that was "about" to play the puck? To me it looked like Seabrook was about to play the puck but was hit just right before the stick made contact.
