Yeah well now I'm confused. That's him agreeing with me? Because I read that as "I'm not afraid of labor but this guy is"...

The ironic thing is I did all that because I was the superintendent at a limited budget course during the tech boom of the late 90's early 2000's, so was basically a one man show. I did what I had to do. In reality I'm a "work smarter, not harder" type of person. Hence the suggestion of the trailer.

Just finished dropping an engine in the truck! While it was out I scrubbed the engine bay, got Martec motor mounts, pcv valve, tcase fluid change, Auxbeam switch, Magnuson supercharger, alternator, battery, serp belt, block heater, transmission flush and obvi oil and coolant. Got my eyes on 5.29s, cams and injectors, maybe a carbon fiber hood

Great, now I have to go and read your Supercharged engine rebuild build thread on this...:rofl:
You should put a link to it in your signature thingy...

Congrats! I've read and followed along what you've done and it's truly impressive. Looking forward to hearing once you've dynoed and new break-in is over.
    Well done!

Fair enough man. I was kinda snarky and didn’t reply to you directly which is passive aggressive. I interpreted your suggestion to use a trailer poorly.
Just meant that for a single load, effort saved vs logistics of renting a trailer would not be worth it to me.
I appreciate you sharing your ideas and experiences, and calling me out too :p

Nothing crazy, but I just installed a hi-lift jack mount in the bed of my truck. The 60” jack practically sits flush in my 5ft bed.

    Thanks.
    SCS F5 (16x8 / -25mm et / 3.5BS)
265/75/16 116T SL tires (just got new tires this week, but I've had a few sets of 265s... So far the Falken Wild peaks are the most aggressive and slightly bigger and wider than any other AT tire I've driven)

No lift. Stock SR suspension. Truck drives nice everywhere. Lately the only off-road trips I take are on the beach or in the sand, so I don't need a lift and I don't need stiff suspension.

I agree, they are awesome birds. But I don’t think I could deal with a bunch of those loud squaking things running in the neighborhood.

Out first house years ago we lived in a mountain community where this wild turkey would walk the roads strutting and yelling at the cars that went by lol. Wife called him Tom. He was a character and everyone got a kick outta him. Surprised no one made him Thanksgiving dinner

I had a buddy that had a peacock that ran around his neighborhood, we used to sit on his porch drinking beer and listen to this thing scream. I just couldn’t imagine having even a few of them holding a conversation.

Thank you for this. I wondered if Kenny at the tire shop was pulling my leg on these because he might have made a few more bucks pushing them rather than me purchasing a different set.

He did say he thought for the price they were the best AT tire for the daily driver .. I will be doing a lifetime review.

Definitely want the tree/rock saver. I just did Rubicon and both hoops are tore up. Saved my bedsides/taillights for sure.

Listen, leave my last name out of your post!!!:rofl::rofl:

(No seriously. It's really my last name :anonymous:)

    OAN:

Got two small things done on my days off.

    1. Added some glovebox letters. Pretty straight forward. Found them on Etsy.

    20250910_114724.jpg

    2) Added the MESO Stealthy Shift Knob V2. There are 2 trigger buttons. I have my ETC set up on the left button. Getting the boot collar all done right was the biggest PITA. Other than that, it got taken care of fairly quickly after that.
