Arizona Wilderness Brewing (AZW for the cool kids) for sure. Get the PB&J burger or hot chicken sandwich. They have 3 locations depending on where you are in the valley. The downtown Phoenix Roosevelt Row one is the coolest from a vibe standpoint.

If you are actually in downtown Phoenix though, there is an excellent restaurant called First and Last that does sandwiches at lunch time. They are incredible, and Seinfeld themed.

On the burger train, I love Johnnys Burgers & Dogs in Tempe, its a perfect burger imo

Pretty tasty. Beats Cold Burgers and Cheese Beer all day. But it has been a while since I've been there, so I wonder if Covid killed their quality like most other spots.

@TACOTU3 If your vibe is more coffee shop with great food inside of a mid-mod furniture store then hit Valentine. Its possibly the best restaurant in Arizona. Also the guy that runs the furniture store side has a sick Tundra on Volks with a GFC.

I'll add that the duck fat fries at AZ Wilderness are a must have...then add a PB&J or AZ Trail burger with a heavy pour of "Don't Fuck It Up"

Stuff that costs more than my wife thinks.
Some good recommendations that I won't repeat, in terms of burgers.

I'll always refer people over to Karsen's Grill in old town, small scratch kitchen that doesn't deal with the old town douchery. You'll pay for it, but it's worth it. We've been regulars there for 5+ years. They also have a new duck pin bowling place right next door, depending on your idea of "fun."

Back in my liquor rep days, Talking Stick was my number 1 account, so I spent many-a-afternoons there. Hit a little virtual blackjack then go up to the bar toward the top (Not Orange Sky, don't think I could do that these days) and get an old fashioned. I think they re-did that bar though, I remember them talking about adding a cigar lounge and other stuff, so the property probably is much different than I remember, 5 years later.

AZW +1. And the side of habanero salsa with any of those recommendations.

Saison is good for the summer, I'm looking forward to stouts in the winter.

Not mine, but I did the cutting, trimming, fitting, and painting of the body. I like to leave as much overspray film on for my clients to remove so please excuse.
