What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Drove my bone stock 4.0 4x4 DCSB OR from Barstow CA. to Littlefield AZ. and managed 23.94 mpg.
Might of had a little tail wind.

 

nice! the best i got was 21 on the interstate. lots of ups and downs on that path though.

 

Last night I installed new Toyo AT3 265/75/16 with Vision Warrior wheels on my 05 Pre-Runner

Also added a 1.5" Rough Country leveling kit.

I like the outcome.

 

Finished up my 2.0-2.5 face lift. Technically I did it yesterday, so I’m a little late lol. More than likely I’ll end up doing a write up of my own. There is one for this kind of swap on TW, but given we took different paths to get to a finished product, there were some things I felt needed some attention. Minor details that change with part purchase and vendor type of things.

 

I just did mine a month ago for the First Time. The Tacoma has 240,000 Plus Miles on it LOL. The fronts have been done three times.

 

How were they? I have some expensive things coming up.... so i might as well check it

 

Been under the knife for a few weeks tinkering away while I had time , de scaled and POR 15 entire frame and wool waxed after, 5100’s rear , 6112s front, new cam bolts and LCAs, paint matched new front grill with an Aluminum Skid, and new shoes (KMC IMS 17x8.5 -10 , 34x10.5 KO2s) Needs a CMC most likely and some more hammering/Trimmings

 

Boring maintenance stuff today, oil change, tire rotation (cleaned the barrels too), greased the driveline etc....

Went hovercraft mode in my new garage, pretty happy with how I managed the space in here, had to do lots of small changes, but I didnt feel cramped at all.

Noticed ill be needing some new tires soon, clutch eventually, probably new alt, water pump etc.... sigh....

Didn't post it last time, but got my 3rd brake light tinted, all all bulbs upgraded to diode dynamics LEDs, put my signature sticker on the rear window (now tinted at 5%) and test fitted my yakima evo 6 snowboard rack. Ooohhh, I also wasted 30 bucks on a new fire extinguisher because it was white...

 

Pedal Commander installed. Coworker had an extra one that he offered me for free. I've always thought they were pretty gimmicky because all they do is make your gas pedal more "touchy." Not sure that I'd spend $299 on it, but it's pretty fun for free.

 

Gemini took the liberty to create this with stock grille and emblem, even though my grille and emblem are clearly not stock in the picture I uploaded. I had to add a prompt to get it right.

My truck has never looked so clean too, lol!

 

Picked up the truck from the transmission shop.. Got the RatioTek HD kit done (they still have plenty, they’re just not selling at their online shop anymore—give em a call) and full tranny fluid change (giggity)/filter.

Wow… The transmission is pretty snappy now. Feels a lot more performance oriented.

 

Thats freaking cool.
