Did the bay ad have the wrong year on it or did they redo the same one 10 years later? Do you know what that one sold for? How common is the 3 spoke wheel?

The bottom of the car should say 1988, the copyright year. Used the same car and base for years. That car hasn’t sold. The 3 spoke or as some call it the saw blade wheel is more rare than the 5 spoke but not as rare as the 7 spoke wheel.

 

Not even sure if the green one came in a 3 spoke.

 

Now that I look at that picture I don’t have the purple one in the 5 spoke or the green one in the basic wheel. I’ll have to look through my extras this weekend.

I can FINALLY post this one. The OTTOmobile Back to the Future 1985 Toyota Hilux! I originally ordered two from Otto direct, one was going to be a birthday gift from my Mom, the other was going to be a "keep in the box as a backup". I originally checked them out when they first showed, one was great, one was heavily damaged. I finally got my hands on the good one tonight.




The second one as I mentioned arrived damaged. The windshield was deformed, the wipers broken off and the hood chipped. I originally asked for a replacement but because the company is in France they refused saying they'd only offer a refund (less shipping, naturally) if I smashed the model.



That absolutely BROKE me to do as it was in good shape otherwise. However, I did end up salvaging a few parts off of the model, most notably the wheels, front bumper and roll bar. The fun part about having the roll bar is it actually fit my 1/20 Maisto F-150 nearly perfectly.




Other than that, I picked up some Subarus:

Unfortunately right now my model collecting in general is a bit touch and go. Most country shipping to the US has been suspended, so OTTO no longer ships direct to the US and finding sellers who are carrying the models can be challenging. I've found a supplier for a second Hilux, but I ordered in July and I'm still waiting. I have four additional pre-orders with a US based retailer who I think can get me what I need. I did pre-order something else and didn't realize it's a Canadian seller so that may be an adventure. Lastly, I have two models coming from Australia that on hold.
