I tried searching archives but could not figure out the right search words to use.

I'm looking to buy a specific model inexpensive floor jack that will lift the truck sufficiently to enable me to put the truck on four jack stands so that I can rearward cross rotate the tires; e.g. a jack Harbor Freight or an auto parts store might carry. Thanks.

When it comes to a floor jack inexpensive maybe not wise.
What exactly does "specific model inexpensive floor jack" mean ?
Also what does "rearward cross rotate" mean ?
Not trying to be picky just trying for more info to help.

Rearward cross: Rear tires are moved to the forward axle and kept on the same side of the vehicle while the front tires are moved to opposite sides of the rear axle.
5 tire is the same, with spare going Pass Rear and Driver Front becoming the new spare

I have harbor freight jacks, I wouldn’t get anything less than a 2 or 3 ton for these trucks.
Jack stands? You gotta search around for ones you trust, I’ve been using 20 year old crasftsman stands

I bought a HF aluminum 3 ton racing jack around 10 years ago. It has been great. Well exceeded my expectations.

That’s what the owners manual recommends. Front to back same side. Personally, the shop I go to that rotates my tires uses the traditional cross over method and I don’t object.

I've had good luck with the "long reach low profile" Daytona model from harbor Freight.
Not cheap but goes higher and lower than most any jack they sell.
Gets under my low FR-S and is tall enough to lift the tacoma on to 6 ton stands.

This, 2 of these and some ESCO jack stands tackle everything in our fleet from lowered cars to my lifted Tacoma.

    LS1 swap with nitros.
HF jack will work perfect. Their jack stands? Have they finally fixed the jack stand weld issues? Maybe find some on FB marketplace that are 30+ years old and made properly.

Floor jacks are great but make sure you use jack stands too. Don't trust a jack alone.

Got Vevor products from Amazon: a 3 ton low profile dual piston floor jack, a set of floor jacks, and a mechanic garage creeper.

Check the support points in the manual for jackstands. Extension height rather than weight capacity is the main concern.

I believe mine are 6 ton in front to reach the frame rail and only 2 ton in rear for the axle.

Some tire shops(all the ones I have used over the last 10 years) has FREE rotation for life if you purchase all the tires from them. The only issue I worry about is a gorilla tightening too much and in an emergency flat repair getting the lug nuts off. I usually go to the truck after the shop and redo all the lugs one tire at a time.

Every time I drag my old ass steel craftsman floor jack out I ask myself why I haven’t bought an aluminum one from HF. But then I get done and just put that guy away again til next time.

3T HF Daytona and 6-ton jack stands have been solid. I use it at work on 1-ton dually with no issue. I have 10-ton OTC long frame jack and 22-ton stands, but rarely use them because of the weight.
