    Good to hear!

    Yeah it's a big reason why I do lots of one-on-one with people on Zoom (regarding CNC).

    So much bad advice is being shared, and what's even more crazy is how many followers some of these people have (150k - 600k+).

    @TACOTU3

    I'm sure I'm not the only one but what process did y'all cover? MIG, TIG, stick?

    Just MiG today, that was my priority. Got 2 more sessions for tig and stick whenever I’m ready to book them!

    I'm sure the lesson was more on the basics (torch holding, reading bead profiles, movement speed, etc) and if you didn't go over different positions, you should look into getting some practice on uphill and downhill.

    Both are drastically different in terms of travel speed as well as machine settings.

    I say this because you can gain a really good understanding of it doing flat stuff, but once you're doing up/downhill, it changes a lot and not many people work on it. You'll be forced to do it with your weak hand as well since joints could better be served for right hand or left hand and vise versa.

    I’ve got an okay baseline so we were able to skip past the most basic intro stuff. Got to fine tune my travel technique, talk a lot more in depth about settings adjustments/what to be looking for, and we did spend quite a bit of time on uphill/downhill! He wasn’t set up to show me overhead but still, I feel like I got way more out of these 2 hours that I could have watching weeks worth of YouTube and then practicing bad habits without knowing better!

    Tig and stick will be a different story, both of those will be starting from pretty much zero.

    Super cool gift from Amber, she’s a badass!

    For sure, proper instruction is worth so much!

    You should buy an oxyfuel setup - you'll learn TIG way faster/easier

    Or maybe I should just get this so I don’t have to worry about getting any better!

    Can you spot the HSS, LOL. Just a little out of place with everything else being busted or corroded… The threader I bought was missing that part of the clamp to salvage.

    Just have to work on shining the rest of it up!

    Need to wire up the threader first to make sure it actually works… eBay ad said it worked fine before he busted the handle so fingers crossed. I got a nice foot pedal with a beefy pigtail for it.

    You were talking about the roller. Thought you were gonna add a picture assuming you were talking about another project:rofl:
