I have nothing to compare them to, but I have been super happy with the 804/805 Shinko's.
They were squirmy when new, a combination of too much psi and not being scrubbed in, but after I sorted that out, they have been great. Factory street psi for the bike was 28/32
I found dropping a couple psi in both on the pavement was huge in how they perform as they were stiffer than the IRC's. I have been running them at my new street pressure (26/30) on the pavement and trails and they have been fine.
One thing that surprised me was how well the front runs on the grooved pavement.

Thursday wife & I rode to my parents in Clearfield, PA from Dover, PA. Found a way that is mostly 2 lane roads. Only 4 lanes section was up over the mountain at Port Matilda. Nice scenic ride up & over a few mountains. On the way home, came across a young black bear that was laying in the on coming lane (I'm thinking was hit & knocked out). It did get up, appeared to have had its bearings rattled & walked across the road. Looked at up as we rode by. It look skinny & appeared to have mange.

The parking lot at Thunder Valley/ Bandimere Speedway in CO used to be a giant, flat gravel area. I would practice there with cut slicks on the SM to find my limits. It was lowish speed & I would try to intentionally initiate a crash & then attempt to recover. Of course I went down several times in doing so, but it made it less scary for me later. I would not recommend trying this with anything heavier than a KLX though, & definitely no street bikes.

I remember when the cable guy drilled a hole through a 100yr old hardwood floor in house I was renting to bring the coax in from the crawl space. I about puked, but it was already too late!

My wife had the rebel 500, but wasn't comfortable learning clutch on it, liked it other than that. Your girl already has that part down. If she is comfortable with the height of the CB500X, I'd highly recommend it! I'd try to find a 2022, 2023, or the newer NX500 (same bike, new name and look). 2022 had a good refresh with upgraded suspension and dual discs up front.

You might be looking for me. The old app was called Bubbler GPS and while it worked pretty well the developer has chosen to end updating it. Spotwalla is the website that was able to take the path of bread crumbs left by the tracking app and convert it into a map of your ride. The gentleman who operates Spotwalla reached an agreement the developer of Bubbler to take it over, update, and improve it for an even better picture of your ride. Link below is our trip from this weekend.

    https://spotwalla.com/trip/a1b6-ac8f0fc-6b44/view

The more I use it the easier I'm finding it to be. Embedding photos, different message types, this app is incredible.

ya we need to find a cb500x and try it out and see if its something she would even want. she likes the looks and how its upright like her dirtbike but hasnt actually ridden one so has no idea if she would like it. she does like the idea of having a advenute bike like the t7 so we can do small trips together with both of them and do some stuff offroad vs if she got a rebel she wouldnt be able to really. not like that stopped me on my bolt lmao.

Not like the CB500X would be anywhere near the off-road bike the Tenere is. But with a skid plate to protect the oil pan, you'd be fine on forest roads with a decent tire. I should invest in one, but I don't plan to be on gravel much.

I adore the CB500x, I wish it was my first bike. I fit perfectly on them for some stupid reason. No other bike at the dealer I fit except the big dirt bikes.

Just sold my Tech 3's. Guy paid me $125. I forgot what I paid for them, so I just listed them at $125(because fb always has the low ballers). I actually only paid $117.06. 2 rides and I made monies.....calling it a win :D
