    Sorry to hear that John.

Crossmember cut out and I found my first rust hole. On the bottom and inside the frame.

Dislike the rust but glad you’re mending it.
Are you replacing the trans mount? I’m planning to when I do this but mine looks beat. Can’t tell how yours is looking.

Getting ready to rebuild my leaf packs now and praying I’ve preselected the right shim degree. Not looking to do it more than once.

I do not believe that we have anything planned as of right now other than AOAA in the middle of October in PA. We always start planning the Toys for tots run that we usually have with a trail run in Late November and that ride will be rated from Stock to needing armor and lift.

We should try for a pre snow trail run in November… turkey day may get in the way.

General rule would be some armor and a full size spare. Start with ifs skid or the trilogy. ( I have an ifs skid off you’re looking) sliders make life more fun and the same for bigger tires.

    What is your current setup?

    Nice!
We don’t do much stock stuff. A little armor will get you a long ways tho. You can have my ifs skid for $100 and that gets you out there… I highly recommend some sliders as well. Used are fine or weld on ones are usually cheap.

Might have to take you up on the skid plate for $100.
Don’t think I’d be able to get sliders for this year.

Work with what you got! I’ll send you a PM and some pics this evening on the skid. Not home for a bit.

My first couple trips in the first year of owning the truck were bone stock with 32" falkens, it did way more than I thought it would but the peace of mind from even just the skid plate is huge lol.
