Wow, 2 ballast and a replacement bulb after only 3 or 4 months and i still have problems with my HID's. My passenger side and sometimes drivers side wants to flicker while I'm driving. Sometimes they will stay on no problem, other times they dance all over the place. I am so fed up with emailing the vendor on getting replacement parts, I just want my dang lights to work!!! I have a simple plug in play setup, there is no relay to the battery as I have seen some setups use this. I am thinking this might be a problem. I've seen some anti-flicker harnesses out there, dont know if thats what i need. Anyway, anyone have any suggestions for a fix....or a reputable brand or vendor i can get some lights with out all this hassle? I wont mention who I brought them from because he's warrantied my bulb and ballast, so it's not his fault, just the dang company he's getting them from I'm thinking......

All the plug-n-play setups I've seen require a relay to the battery to work correctly. There was another TW member on here that had no relay and she would get the same kinds of problems as you. Then she got a relay harness and they worked fine after that. I'm not an HID expert but I would say you need a relay harness to the battery.

Mine used to flicker, but realized I had a poor ground. Fixed that and never had problems since

Relay harness has nothing to do with it. check grounds and power connections. relay harness' are only needed for Hi/Lo setups. The factory wiring is more than enough to handle the load of HIDs without a relay harness. If you check all your grounds and power connections and if they are still messed up then i highly suggest you junk the cheap Chinese HIDs and spend the money on a decent set.

Cheap HIDs are just that... CHEAP. Some times they can be decent, sometimes not. It is real hit or miss. Look for the German Klight brand. excellent HID kits.

I do have bi xenon...(hi/lo) setup... I've check most of the grounds i could find, are there any others....what sort of power connetions are you talking? The HID kit is pretty simple, even a caveman could do it..HAHA its all color coded, pretty hard to screw it up. Im not sure if it's a chinese kit or not. I got them from a group buy on here, havn't really heard of anyone else having problems, but then again maybe they ditched there's a long time ago when i was having problems too.

I have the same issue. Mine are Xentec (slim design brand)
No problems with the 6k bulbs, but when I replaced them with the 5k bulbs.. they flicker all over the place.
