    It's densely populated out there though, not to mention people traveling in/out of town just to work there (but not live there)

    All the Dutch bros I’ve seen are in cities people live in, it the ones they travel to work for.

    there’s not much in the bay, mostly the outskirts bordering the valley

    Spent all day doing suspension on a Mk7.5 Golf Sportwagen I picked up. Previous owner put lowering springs under it but was thoughtful enough to keep the factory springs. It drives much better with the factory springs.

    I think it was the first time I've ever used a 7mm hex or an 18mm socket, not to mention the triple-square sockets I had to pick up.

    Almost every fastener I touched today is torque to yield/one-time-use. I wonder if anyone ever actually replaces those... I'd bet more than half of VWs on the road have re-used fasteners on them.

    goin VW huh — so, did you reuse those fasteners?? :D

    the lowering springs on those make them much less pleasant to drive for sure
