It's exactly what I mean. Tuk was always on the list. I think years ago I had a post about it.

    that's wild!

yeah after seeing the Miata up there a few years ago, not surprised he made it just fine. Largest issue is when it starts to rain for long periods of time/ snow sets in. otherthan that - love to see it.

Especially that 10000km trip there and back to the GTA. It's a loooong time to be alone, and a lot of time to think.

If i could do it again, i would but if you plan to do a run in the next month, understand they'll be seeing minor snow fall in the next coming weeks.

i did a trip 5 years ago through Quebec over and across Labrador down to Newfoundland and back by myself and I sure would have loved some company. long road trips by yourself is hard way to go.

Makes me wonder what he spent in gas, those trans ams average about 20l/100km

I'm doing a trip thru Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and PEI with Madison this January, about 8 days. Wanted to throw NFLD in there but man, is it ever isolated from everything else! Summer trip to NFLD may be in order

    with me burning around 15L/100k
IIRC gas in Whitehorse was about 1.85, Dempster HWY start was about $1.90, Eagles nest was was about $2.50, Inuvik was around $2.20, and Tuk was about $1.90

going up from NIA was about $1500 to Whitehorse, about $500 to Tuk and back, and about $2000 in the winter to drive back.
it's not a cheap trip lol

I've got a gas price story.
When gas was somewhere around the 60 to. 70 cents / liter a friend and my self decided we'll wait for the price to go down before we do the Rubicon in our jeeps
I'm still waiting for the price to come down.
Moron of the story : me
Lesson learned : nothing gets cheeper as time goes by. Good for all those who have already done all these trips that I want to do. You're a lot smarter than me.

Installed Ark splash guards P/N 83810 in the 4Runner. The Ark material is stiff and feels plasticky rather than rubbery to the touch:

Would be awesome, thanks. Going on a long road trip in the winter and would prefer if my doors weren't being assaulted by gravel the whole way

^Can always make high-clearance flaps like @Snail81 and I (on the 4R) did. Easier to make than fender splash guards.
