I’ve got a 1999 Tacoma 5speed Tacoma with the 6 lug pattern and 15 in rims, I’m tired of working and dealing with my rear drum brakes so Ive been trying to find good quality but well priced disc conversion for my rear end that has a parking brake and would fit the 6 lug pattern and fit on a 15in wheel without using spacers I was wondering if anyone might have some good recommendations I would like to try to spend less than 1k right now if possible if not that’s ok

Bumping this one, I don't have any recommendations for you but I just had to rebuild my rear drums so I feel your pain... Interested in what other people think.

    Weren't people using 4th gen 4runner parts?

It’s possible. Source yourself a complete 4th gen 4R, FJ, or fifth gen 4R rear axle. Cut the brackets off and weld the perch on and done. Should be roughly $1k or slightly under. Seen a few FJ for $800.

But for a direct fit first gen, SOS or FROR. Though not cheap and easily exceed your $1k budget.
