A lot of posters related to how engines used to be. I even quote responded directly to you that my 2 most previous vehicle were twin scroll single turbo v6… being a 2021 and a 2023.

Until you own a 4th gen and drive it every day, you have no idea what I’m talking about <—- I don’t mean that rudely, just factually.

When we visit my gfs family in Portugal we drive her grandmas F20 120i Diesel with the B47, 400 N⋅m (295 lb⋅ft) at 1,750-2,500 rpm.

I'm pretty sure that hatchback would win a tug of war against a gas 4th gen. Pulls like a freight train below 65.

I wish the 4G had B47s  great engines. Sounds like a tank too, makes great turbo noises.

in your first post you mentioned "lugging" being bad for the motor

A few posts later you mentioned low speed pre-ignition. Pre-ignition can put holes in pistons and cause severe internal damage

I'm just responding to what sounded like real concerns about engine damage.

No big deal, carry on.. I'll see myself out

I typed “isn’t this bad or called lugging?” I’ll give you that. That to me doesn’t seem to warrant the receipts you are mentioning to prove engine damage. There is no engine damage as far as I’m aware.

Many posters have made a case that the answer is “No” this isn’t bad and you can’t lug an automatic.

Don’t eject yourself! I thought your insights and considerations were helpful!
