    Repost.

That pat down couldn't have gone more professionally.

    Don't like it...don't fly.

Yep, this stuff sure does show the terrorists they've had no affect on America.

Ah yes, so when they require this at bus stops, don't take the bus or on the train or maybe even leaving a ballgame. When does the madness stop and the reality set in that a $40 billion/year federal agency won't stop a nimble terrorist and that the way to protect ourselves is to do just that... protect ourselves

Nope, absolutely no effect. They haven't played the fear card and made Americans like Krazie SJ scared of 'the enemy' or encroached upon our civil rights and basic dignities in the name of security... No and they certainly don't let boxcutters, known terrorists or loaded firearms on board

You're right in your "people would bring a bomb on a little kid to get past" but your assumption that the TSA would catch said bomb is misguided. Their unspeakable deeds and countless failures point to an unsafe sky. The real reason terrorists don't attack our skies as much anymore? Passenger vigilance.

The TSA is no more useful than the private screeners were prior to 9/11. The only reason those terrorists got boxcutters on the plane was because the FAA deemed them permitted items. Meanwhile boxcutters are prohibited as are firearms, yet both get through and I'm sure would get through far more if tested more thoroughly than occasional missteps.

they could have done it in a more secluded/screened off area, but I don't think they were wrong for doing it. there are some sick bastards out there that would smuggle bombs/drugs/weapons on their own children.

^And that's why they do it.

Cause if a plane went down because of a kid people would be fucking screaming about not checking kids in the first place.

Damned if you do, damned if you don't.
