    It's pretty easy to change them on the 2tr-fe. Service manual calls for
    $59 Denso SK20HR11 ---- IRIDIUM PLATINUM power pack Spark Plugs -- # 3421 ----- 6 PCS NEW
    Denso SK20HR11 or NGK ILFR6C11. I used Denso's from the local dealer or rockauto.com, can't remember which.

    Disconnect battery.
    Remove the air intake tubing that goes between the throttle body and filter box.
    Unplug the coil pack closest to the front of the engine.
    Unscrew the retaining screw for the coil pack.
    Gently remove the coil pack.
    Use spark plug socket and ratchet extension to remove plug.
    Check gap on new plug. Service manual specs 0.039 to 0.043 in.
    Lightly coat the threads of the spark plug with anti-seize compound.
    Carefully install new plug. Be careful not to cross or strip the threads!
    Torque to 13 ft*lbs.
    Reinstall coil pack.
    Repeat for the other three plugs. Then reinstall the air intake.

    Just did it on my 2006 2.7

    It was much less complicated than I expected. I've never swapped spark plugs on anything other than my lawn mower until then and it still only took me about an hour and a half. I used the Haynes service manual as a reference as well as the V6 thread.

    That got me a sense of probably undeserved confidence which led me to swap the plugs on my wife's Nissan Murano. Boy was that different from my truck. That job took me about 6 hours.... no kidding.

    Doing a little research tonight Rob. I need brakes and rotors up front plus the rear wheel bearing, drivers side, needs to be replaced. At 73K on the clock this is my first real maintenance except for fluids.
