    I dont recommend the BFG's in sand or snow personally.

    A few bolts are different.
    not seen issues in sand personally but the snow is not handled as well with the KM2's

    Im running the KM2's
    In the mud they rock, but sand they just ate right in.. I heard on ice they like to break loose easily

    My problem could have been an air pressure deal :eek: I dont drive in sand much so im a noob there.

    A few bolts are different.
    Yes, it is imperative to air down in sand for flotation. Same for deep snow off road.

    This is helpful stuff and I appreciate all the feedback befor I spend some serious coin on these. Been looking at ratings on tire rack - but you know how that goes

    I'll point out that 75% on road 25% off road is a pretty heavy off road mix -- off roading one day out of four.

    That's like hitting lots of trails every weekend on a daily driver - or leaving the rig parked most of the time. In fact, if you were measuring mileage instead of time, you'd hit 75/25 on a rig that sat parked in the driveway except when it was on the trails or being driven on the highway to get TO the trails.

    So yeah, if that's your mix, definitely get the more aggressive better performing off road tire, rather than the all-terrain.

    I was going to get the goodyear wrangler MTR but they were on national backorder so I went with KM2's...again.

    They make them in 315/75 which is almost the same.
