Will adding aftermarket UCA's allow for additional lift? Can't seem to come across anything. anywhere. Maybe that's a sign? lol

They allow additional wheel travel, not lift. Lift is governed by CV angle.

say i get longer cv's, would i be able to put a taller spacer in the mix? Or would that put the LCA's at too steep an angle?

I dont know since "longer" CVs dont exist. If you meant CVs capapble of more angle, you'd be able to squeeze perhaps a half inch and the cost of hundreds more and more frequent replacement of those high angle CVs which are going to be ultra expensive. If you want more than 2.5-3" the answer is a drop bracket lift for a 4x4 or spindles for a 4x2.

gotcha, could i not do spindles on a 4x4? (btw my truck is a 96 4x4 3.4L) i've been looking at the drop down brackets but my only problem is finding one thats compatible with manual locking hubs. And fabtechs is just so dang expensive.

Spindles are also quite expensive as well and none that I know of will work with 4x4

Spindles relocate the wheel and hub lower. You still need a drive shaft to turn them... so your CV angle stays the same in a 4x4... so it does not work. It works for 4x2 because they have no drive shaft angle to worry about. If you did it with a 4x4 youd have zero down travel left in the CV and as soon as the suspension drooped (if it could even fit in the first place without the front drive shaft hitting the lower control arm) you would blow up your CVs.

Yes, drop bracket lifts are expensive. If you want more than 2.5" a drop bracket is really your only choice other than an ultra expensive long travel set up. You can ask all the questions you want but that answer will not change. IFS lifts on 4x4s are governed by CV angle up front.

FTW. Was going to post that.

Drop bracket lifts = no good. Just for mall crawlers. Plus SAS wouldn't be too much more than one probably, after it's all said and done.

Im sure it would be and it probably wouldn't be used to it's full potential anyway

Are new uca's needed for a 3" coilover, are they still vary strong?

You need it for propper alignment and handling. If you don't care about poor alignment specs and handling shitty you can do without. So IMO yes it is needed at 2.5" or more.

Body lifts of any kind are bad. Your increasing the leverage in which the weight of the body can have over the frame contact point/mounting point. Many folks have had the body to cab point break, and the spacers pop into the cab.
