Opinions on this set up

06 DC LB

front:
5100's at 1.75"
886 front coils with ARB winch bumper

Rear:
2 inch block
probably adding 5100's

Tires:
Current-265/70/16 cooper ATR's

Want to upgrade to a more aggressive all terrain in 285/75/16, will those tires rub with the ARB bumper? Should i set the 5100's to 2.25" with that set up or are they good where they are? i dont want the front higher than the rear. Thanks for the suggestions in advance!

 

Wont work. Your 5100s have to be at zero when using those coils.

And if youre getting an AAL you have to get 5100s or an equivalent rear shock becuase the stock cant extend that length.

Nah you probably would not have been able to compress them that much anyway. You will have a hard enough time with the 5100s at zero

 

There are a lot of threads saying don't use 886 coils with Bilsteins, go with the Nitrocharger's instead. Supposedly they dampen the heavy springs better. 886 coils are pretty heavy duty.
Blocks work for a lift but an AAL would be a better choice or your best choice would be a replacement leaf pack like the Dakars.
I've got the ATR's also and they're a great all-around tire!

 

I just installed the OME kit with 885's , OME shocks front and back , and Dakars .

It rides great .

 

i agree! theyre a great tire, but i dont have a ton of $$$ lying around and im looking to go bigger so theyre more in proportion to the rest of the truck, but i love my ATR's

 

how much lift? enough to fit 285/75/16's with an ARB winch bumper?

 

also i just got the blocks as a quick fix because i set my 5100's at 1.75" and it was higher up front than back, i wouldve preferred a whole new leaf pack but money was short, but i didnt want to lose the height in the front, so i got the blocks

 

2 3/4" front and back , I am putting on the Relentless Fab aluminum bumper , so weight up front isn't an issue for me .

I could fit 285's with the regular trimming .

If you are getting an ARB or winch you should get the 886's paired with the OME shocks .

 

thats what ive been advised to do, 886 with OME shocks, as far as the rear goes, 5100's with the 2 inch block? i dont have enough $$$ for a new leaf pack, do i need to lift the back more to balance out the front set up?

Go with an aal instead of block they are are pretty cheap. You dont need a whole new leaf pack
