Received a ticket for window tint and got it signed off by the CHP..The courtesy notice says I have to show proof of the correction and pay $25 dollars..Can I mail in the check along with the signed off ticket or do I have to go to court with the ticket? This is the Los Angeles Superior court in Compton CA if it makes any difference..

Because of the budget cuts there is nobody to answer the phones at the courthouse..Has anyone been to the superior court in Compton? It is earths toilet

I doubt you'll have to go in for a window tint ticket... I'm sure they have more serious things to deal with in Compton court than illegally tinted windows...

you have the choice to go, you can get a reciept showing you fixed the problem and they will dismiss you, or you can just pay the ticket. atleast that is how it works in kentucky

get it corrected then signed off by a chp officer at any chp station and you can pay the fine at the station very simple ....there are usually instructions on how to handle tickets on the back of the ticket

if your over 18 years old you can skip court and pay the fine at the court house or the clerks office. at least thats what it is in my state.

I had to go to Compton Court on a exhaust fix it ticket 2 years ago and waited 5 hours in line, not to mention almost getting into a fight with the guy standing 8 people in front of me...Govt in California has lost it's mind and runs the courts like a group of baboons..politicians here need to all go to jail for running this state into the ground

That's all fine in theory except that the state is totally screwed and generates it's revenue from tickets Thanks Arnold and Jerry Brown! Great Job!

I just had to go to the clerk's office and provide proof that it was signed off and then pay the $25 fee.

I know I can go stand in line, my question is do I mail the signed off ticket along with the $25 fee?
