Hello, I have been lurking and learning for awhile now and thought I would introduce myself.

1st, the important stuff. Last year I got a base silver 09 access cab, 4cyl, 4x4, with a matching shell on it. (A.R.E.) I traded in my 05 Z71 Silverado for it because the 5.3L was killing me in gas costs. (Good timing). I got a great deal on it and love it. Its not my first Tacoma, or my second, but I keep coming back to them. I also had a 98 4x4 and a 04 Prerunner in the past.

I plan to do several mods to it, but for the time being, its bone stock. The only mod thus far has been the stupid inner filter in the intake box. Since thats been removed, ive seen a little increase in mileage, but nothing too significant. The main thing ive noticed after I removed the filter was the truck bogs less in the lower rev range.

Future Plans: Bilstein 5100's, AAL, Fog Lights, some kind of brush guard, (AVID, Bull Bar, not sure yet), and rims and tires.

I live near Georgetown, California, which is close to all things I love to do, fish, hunt, ride dirt and street bikes, shoot, etc. Ive lived up here for about 1 1/2 years now and I love it. I have 3 acres with a 1/2 pond on my property that has bass, bluegill, and catfish in it. Its a 38 second walk to go fishing :). Its a catch and release pond unless you pull in a 2+ pound bass then you can keep it! (Last year I got a 4 pounder out of there)

I have learned a great deal while nosing around in here and I would like to thank everyone for their contributions! What a great resource.

Thats it for now, thank you again and if you want to go fishing, let me know!

okay well we have a big camping trip in June the trail runs were going on are not really stock friendly but you could always leave your rig at camp and ride with someone. Also a mod day June 11th in Roseville.
