75M user records are compromised. That's why the PSN is down. Sony cannot rule out credit card information wasn't leaked either. This info is about 6 days late IMHO.

ok, so i went to write an angry email but could only find a number to call. i had to wait for support. i dont feel like waiting on the line, plus i prefer to write an email since i can express myself better (i can get pissed and aggressive over the phone if i dont get my way and i find that never helps my complaint). does anyone have an email address i can contact someone at? i'm not pissed they got hacked, i know that happens. i'm pissed they are just now telling us we may have our account info compromised. in todya's digital age you can max out a credit card in a matter of minutes, so waiting 6 days to tell us about it is fucking wrong, and i want to tell them that.

Sony is pulling a "Toyota" -- too much arrogance like, "we are the biggest and best, and we will always have millions of customers." They got cheap and look what happened. It is obvious that Toyota got cheap. And I say Sony got cheap because Sony clearly did not invest in PSN as much as they really should have to create the robust and powerful network it could have been, and obviously not enough in security measures. Don't get me wrong, I own Sony and Toyota products, but they really F***ed up by not continuing to do what got them to the top in the first place: highest quality.

i dunno, everything gets hacked nowadays. my biggest problem is not the hacking but the lack of communication to their customers. waiting 6 days to tell someone they may have their credit card info is unacceptable for any reason

i had forgotten how boring single player is on a shooter...which are the only games i own :( patiently waiting for PSN to come back up. i guess i'm not that worried about personal info. i use my bank/debit card for PSN, and frankly there's not much there to steal. :p

i have however developed an even more hated view of hakerz. WTF doucheknuckles? where does the desire to fuck up other people's computers come from? i mean, you never hear of a guy rolling on a creeper down the rows and randomly cutting break lines at the mall.

i agree on the point of "late breaking news" on the possiblility of compromised accounts...total bullshit.

yeah, i read it. i thought you meant YOU personally were "compromised", like had funds withdrawn from your account or something like that.

I've actually had successes in the past with gripes on how Citibank treated me, and the wife has had responses from the executive offices in the past too.

what the?? i tried several times, but get booted back out to the "maintenance" screen. will try again with more persistance.

between the playstation fiasco and my smartphone recently trying to brick itself, i'm about to go all Jeremiah Johnson and get the fuck off the grid.
