LED lights for rear License Plate?

Does anyone happen to know if they sale LED lights that light up your rear license plate? TIA

 

Yeah there are some LED bars that bolt to the top license plate bolts, but theres probably replacement bulbs to fit the stock light housings as well, just dont know where to find em.

Use one of my light bars ,

 

those are the ones i used from vled and they were 7 bucks and no shorting anything out and the size is a 168

 

can these bulbs be used on a 2001 1st gen? i have a blow plate light and might as well order these

 

check the sylvannia bulb replacement guide and if the size is a 168/194 then it will work too but vled has just about any size you need

I don't understand the desire to make your plate easier to read.

 

Those are exactly what i have for my map lights....they are like at least 60% brighter than halogen

 

It's one less reason to get pulled over.

 

mine is more or less just for looks lol, the only ones that were for function sake was the interior maps reverse lights and cargo light. the lisence plate ones dont really make it easier to read imo they really just make everything match

 

I doubt anyone would get pulled over for having functioning stock plate lighting, unless the cop is looking for something to stop you for.

 

I have a tinted license plate cover so the LED's help with visibility a lot. I do happen to get stopped every now and it's always for some excuse of a reason; it always ends up being the officer wanting to take a look around my truck and forgetting why they even pulled me over. I haven't been pulled over for the frame (or even had one of the officers say a word about it), but I figured that would soon be the next "reason" to get pulled over. For me I find the $5 I spent on them to be worth it, plus LED's just look so much better than halogens IMO.

 

Anyone know where to get something like these? Just put on a demello rear tube bumper I got used. I got my bulbs just pulled from org bumper zip tied on for now, lol.
