Ha ha I will never give up my guns, it's just the price of bullets that pisses me off. I am just as accurate with my bow, within about 50 yards that is.

I posted in this thread over a year ago, on the first page even. Then last month some anonymous DB leaves me bad re..... er, what we don't talk about. I don't care about IT, but be man enough to own it. And I still stand by what I said then. "Are we talking registered guns or just guns? What they don't know isn't going to hurt them." Rant over.

well Georgia has no such thing as a registered gun(unless you are into NFA guns but thats federal).... by the way are you member of www.GeorgiaCarry.Org ?? they are the ones lobbying to expand the carry rights in GA...with SB308 they helped to repeal the 140+ year old Public Gathering Clause from our law books :)

You don't understand. The people of the United States can't be separated from their guns ever. It's a fundamental issue, just as important as the right to free speech and freedom of religion.

It's in our Bill of rights. Aside from enshrining the natural right of self defense, it serves as an insurance policy against a tyrannical government. Also, the U.S. Supreme Court said that the right is fundamental to our scheme of ordered liberty.

They federally outlawed alcohol for a few years back in the day. This country's history is entwined with the history of liquor (for better or worse) and the protectionists thought we'd be better off without it, and it was a disaster. Thank God they had the good sense to legalize it again.

I have almost no faith in the current system's ability to give ANYTHING back as quickly as hey gave back alcohol 80 years ago.

    Vigilance > legalism

its fundamental in their scheme of liberty too....they have just been apathetic in their protection of the right....it is enumerated in the Magna Carta which our system of govt also sprang forth

Interesting to note. All the more reason for us to be vigilant state side. I am glad that in your state that you have the right to carry. I unfortunately do not have that right. Ca. does not have a 2A analog in our state constitution... But that is water under the bridge. Within the next 24 months I expect that all U.S. citizens will have that right secured.

Have you been to an Asian third world country?
In Vietnam not many people own guns, not even police half the time. People with the most guns there are gangs. They pretty much own the streets. They got some parts of the community living in fear knowing they can't defend them self or go out and buy a gun for protection. If the US banned guns it would pretty much turn into a "3rd world country". Only the gangs have guns and the citizens would be living in fear. Even if the gangs didn't have guns, they still have knives and bats. I'm sure we'll be hearing more about stabbing and beatings on the news.

Canada may not have guns but they do have crime. My relatives lives in Alberta a few hours from Calgary. well a while back they were being robbed. My cousin confronted a male in her house with a knife. He came at her with te knife and cut her. Lucky for her she took 5 years of martial arts and was able to get the knife out of the atrackers hand. If it wasn't for that she would be dead.

There are always crime going on, people who commit these crime arm themselves with what's easier for them to acquire. From a knife to a bat to a gun.

actually you do have the right to carry(openly and unloaded wtf?) Georgia you must have a permit to carry openly...so the state of GA has converted a right into a privilege....Cali is more liberal with their off limits places too for instance if you have a cali license you can carry to K-12 school to the governor mansion to the state house etc all of those would get you a year in jail here in GA

I carry a gun just about every day, I have been very lucky not to have to use it, but I am ready to use it ,if some one where to try to harm my family or I...God bless the USA. If guns are out lawed only out laws will have guns. All of my family is still in Canada. They tell me they have there share of crime in Canada. May-be its time to let them owne handguns again!

Most of us that are fighting for carry, regard Unloaded Open Carry (UOC) as transport only. We have no right to carry in California until the federal courts say so. UOC is simply not illegal in Ca yet. An unloaded gun is pretty worthless. The CA legislature will be fixing the penal code and taking UOC away this year (they tried last year but failed).

The reason UOC exists as it does today was because of the Black Panther Party of the mid/late 1960's. Back then, there was some serious police brutality going on (people beaten and shot) and the black panthers decided to educate, arm, and defend themselves. Without making this into a very long post, let me say that the CA legislature took issue with them and they passed the Mulford act in 1967 to disarm them. After the Mulford Act was signed by Ronald Regan and passed into law it became known as penal code 12031, thus it became illegal to carry loaded open in Ca.

The more I look at weapons laws the more I see their racist and class based roots. It is all very repulsive to me and I can't wait for the big roll back to happen.

Dose any one have a Turus Judge Public Defender in Poly? If so how do you like it, and do you think it would make a good trail gun?

A Japanese WWII Navy Officer said main land America could never be invaded, as there is a rifle behind every blade of grass.

Those who would give up your fire arms...., turn in your Tacoma and pick up a nice little Prius..., better fits your life style.

....that ought to stir the pot a little.. :)
