    So I was looking for a place to put a power outlet inside the cab and here is what I came up with.

    I just tapped into the OEM inverter under the center console. Perfect for charging a lap top or using a wall charger for a cell phone. Let me know what you guys think!

    I just followed the wiring instructions here for the wiring: http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd...utlet-cab.html
    Tapped right into the OEM inverter.

    I used a single outlet 20amp plug from Home Depot and 16 guage wire. I used a quarter round file to get the plug shape. As for the black cover I broke off the 3 center tabs that hold it on. Let me know if you need anymore info.

    The plastic piece is the cover to the plug. Doesnt get much cleaner than not even knowing its there!

    Hah I see. I just would have gone a different way but good job. Nice to cut something replacable or invisible. Easier if you ever want to sell.

    Thanks!, Haha yea it does. You can take just the arm rest off without breaking off the tabs so I just trased out the arm rest on paper and cut the camo a little bit larger and pushed it in the edges with a flat trip screwdriver and used spray glue to hold it down better so about hour or so.
