I've had my p4300 installed for about a week now. To be honest I'm not sure that I like it.

The screen is almost impossible to see in daylight (and I have 5% tint all the way around). Does anyone else have this issue?

Also I put a picture as a background image, but when I try to play a movie the video doesn't play, it just has audio along with the background pic. Any ideas on what I did wrong?

I'm also not liking the crap all over the screen. It seems crowded by all of the options and "buttons". Is there anyway to clean it up? I can hide the search and settings button, but I want to hide everything else.

For your screen, do you have the brightness up? And i'm not positive about this, but i think you can tilt the screen so that might help.

What source are you trying to play a movie from? If its an ipod, you have to have the pioneer cable to play movies and videos.

As for clutter on the screen, there is a little arrow in the top right hand corner of the screen that if you press it should clean some of it up.

I haven't found the brightness adjustment, but I have tried to adjust the tilt to no avail.

The movie is on a dvd.. it played fine before I tried to change the background pic.

I found the lttle arrow. I was just wondering if it was possible to clean up anymore of the screen.

Thanks for the suggestions, if anyone else has any ideas keep'em coming

To get to the brightness, contrast, etc. press and hold the menu button then all of that will come up.

I don't know anything else to try for the movie.

There is not anything else you can remove from the screen other than the stuff the arrow takes off.

You are parked with the emergency brake on doing this, right? Or did you fix it to play anytime driving or parked? That could be why your not seeing video. My pioneer will allow audio but not video if I don't flip the switch to activate it thinking the parking brake is on. I don't have that model but maybe this will help.

Ok I figured the movie playing issue. Apparently each "source" has its own settings. Once I was in the disc source, I had to turn the background off.

I also adjusted the "dimmer" and "brightness" by holding the menu button. It seemed to help out quite a bit.

The screen clutter still bugs me though...
