    Just depends on how bad your paint is. You MUST follow up with a coat of wax though as the clay bar removes any contaminants down to the clear coat. Just it just depends on your tools and how fast you want to work. A clay bar, polish or compound and final wax takes me 3.5+ hours with my mothers powerball.
