No, you really are paying for quality with Colt. Colt is the standard to which all others are measured.

Sorry man but unlike in COD, the M4 does not have full auto mode, just single, burst, and safe.

As for what kind of AR you should get, there is prob not one answer that is 100% correct. It is a matter of opinion. As for me I like stag. They have been making components for larger AR manufactures(bushmaster, ect.) for a while, then they decided to just build their own better one. It is real solid and a good shooter. Nothing super fancy. I think the Amarlite and Colt ARs are way overpriced. We us Colt M4s in the Army and I would not spend what they sell for. Also, I would'nt buy an m4 unless you just want to own one. I would get a Robinson XCR. It comes standard with a piston system. They are very similar in design to the AR, however they have made many improvements like: ambidexturous charging handle/saftey, foldable butstock, interchangable barrels, and they are very very durable. Thanks, Orin

this. Colt is the Mil spec standard...
untrue. maybe the M4's you have at your armory only have single and burst (thats all we have at ours) they do make them in full auto.

    http://www.colt.com/mil/M4.asp

as for the ACR, Bushmaster is having a recall on ALL of their ACR rifles...

Any AR is available in a fully auto, but the M4 is a military nomenclature. The m4 that the army uses is not fully auto. that is a fact. minus sf and wtf ever else.

Actually, the M4A1 is fully auto and semi. The M4 is burst and semi.

I'm building my first AR now. I just ordered a LMT M4 upper and a BCM CH. I've already got a stripped Spikes lower and Daniel Defense LPK. Looking to put an MOE stock and forend on it, and maybe Magpul MBUS rear sight, haven't decided yet. I want to get used to the iron sights before getting any optics, plus by the time I buy all of the stuff I just mentioned, no $$ left for an aimpoint!
