Did they make limited edition in maroon? I'm trying to find a color match grille so I can make me a new grille and I think a black grille with black mesh maybe too much black.

Impulse Red is the darker red; Radiant Red is the brighter red.

To go back to the original question ....

The 2001 - 2004 Limited Package was offered on Double Cabs only, and it didn't include any color-keyed grille surround.

The SR5 Color Keyed Package (which included color-keyed grille surround) was available in Impulse Red from 2002 through 2004. I'm not sure about 2001.

I'm struggling with this same thing... I really want to color match my grille surround.. Also isn't the grille surround around the corner lights separate from the main piece?

Yeah, you will have to tape off the corner lights to paint them as well.

I feel like prepping and sanding just the trim around the corner lights would be a huge pain in the ass.. Is there a better way to do this?

Thats how you have to do it unless you plastidip it. If you plastidip your grille and corner light trim all you need to do is tape off the the non trim parts and clean and wipe down the trim. I wiped the trim and grille down with denatured alcohol before I plastidipped my grille.

Yeaaah that's what I was afraid of... I was going to just go the plasti dip route but color matched looks so much better to me on impulse red.

Mine looks to be the same color as yours and it's color matched. Limiteds were chrome though.

I've been toying with the idea of doing the same thing (except in silver).

You can get the grilles in any color here:
    http://www.toyotapartsales.com/part...coma&year=2004&catalogid=2&displayCatalogid=0

Kinda pricey though, I was thinking of trying to find a used one somewhere like a junk yard or someone parting out a truck but it seems like the color-keyed option wasn't very popular so that may be a long shot.

CT93: What brand/model is your shell topper? I am planning on getting one soon and can't decide on one.

    Thanks! :)

I was stoked to find my truck with the color matched option as well! Definitely don't see many like that.

It's a Snugtop, and I'm pretty sure the model is the super sport. I love it, the fit and quality is top notch.
