Has anyone ever used this product?

Spray-on Smoke Colored Lens Paint allows you to achieve the lustificle looks of expensive headlight replacements without the high costs. Add a few coats to give your headlights, fog lights, tail-lights, side markers, etc a tinted look while still allowing the light bulbs to easily shine through when lit. You control how light or dark you make them, the more coats, the darker the appearance of your lenses!

Even if you make it really dark it doesnt make the lights get any dimmer? Thats the only thing I would be worried about

Hmmm? I've never seen those products either. Pretty cool though! Let me know how it goes if you do use them.

 

Plus the ticket. It's illegal in California. They don't have to write it up as a fix-it ticket either because it's a modification made to the truck (fix-it tickets are for broken items). That means the fine jumps considerably.

Anytime you shade the lense, you're reducing output.

My truck was recently hit from behind on the freeway during heavy rain. If my taillights were tinted, the other driver could have claimed it was my fault because the taillights were too dim.

 

Yup, that's why I don't miss living in California!!! Was there since I was born and said Seeyah!!! Still miss the family though.

 

I too look forward to moving from here. The laws are sometimes rediculous.

I have to stay here for my aging parents though.

I say leave the headlights alone and have them shine brightly with Xenon bulbs.

I have used it on my '98 and yeah it does decrease the light output, chips, and requires quite a bit to achieve a smoked look. I used it on the orange blinkers in the bumper of my '98 taco. Didn't like it all that much, but it was just the blinkers so ohh well. I knew some ricers that did the headlights to their civics and yeah, you could barely see them and they could barely see the road at night. Highly advise not doing it on headlights or taillights, unless you do it really lightly just to take the red glare away.

 

ive used Nite shade that u can order off ebay or try and get it at autozone. I did it to my taillights and turn markers on my old maxima. I did them very dark, aka BLack lol and u could see threw it perfectly. i recomend that over this stuff
