This past summer I purchased a new unused 2007 Tacoma V6 SR5, the bill of sale states that my truck is equipped with a block heater. But I can't find it anywhere on the engine. Can anyone tell me where the block heaters are typically mounted on the engine? If you could give as much info as possible or even provide me with a picture it would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,:)

I believe its on the passenger side of the engine towards the back. Dont quote me on this but I had inquired about having one installed prior to getting my taco but ended up not needing it after all...at least not for now. Good luck with the search

not to be a smart a$$ but did you check out the owner's manual? But if I remember correctly I think it is usually installed on the middle freeze plug on the passenger side.

The block heater on the V6 is on the driver side of the engine. It is installed into a hole in the back side of the block just under the head.

You can narrow your search to the driver side for the cord.

There are some pics on TN if you can't seem to find it.

Here, I found a picture. Picture is taken from driver side near the brake master cylinder.

Correct...Just look for the starter and its located directly behind the starter towards the back D/S bottom of block. Just look for the black power cord. I believe the end of the heater where the cord attaches is red. Good luck.
